Thats a tough one! There are so many creeks in Jackson Co.
Many were named after a particular family, like Cope Crk, and Baumgarner
Branch, some after animals, like Wolf Crk, and some like Mill Crk, others
like Caney Fork.
Scott Crk runs from a point north of Balsam Mtn and north of Hy 23. The
North
Fork of Scott Crk (which begins as a double fork) runs a bit more north of
the main fork (below Browning Knob at the north end of the county) and
intersects the main fork southeast of Addie. Scott Crk continues to
(somewhat) follow 23, then ends when it intersects the Tuckaseegee just
south of Dillsboro. It's one of the longest creeks.
