Hello

I thought the following might be of interest to the list:

"Perminter MORGAN -- Died at his home in Round Prairie township, Benton county, Ark., Nov 6th, Perminter MORGAN was born in Haywood County, N. C. June 19th, 1818. There he remained until he was 21 years of age when he moved to north Georgia where he lived about ten years. Being seized by the then popular Western craze he, in company with several of his neighbors, moved to Benton county, Ark. in 1849. In 1851 he married Miss Margaret THOMAS and settled near Bloomfield where he has resided ever since. In 1863 he was attacked by a fever which settled in his eyes, depriving him of his sight. A few months ago a tumor appeared on his left shoulder which finally proved to be a cancer. Hoping to relieve his sufferings he underwent a surgical operation last June and for some weeks the odds were in his favor fur ere long a relapse took place which finally resulted in his death. In Uncle 'Minter's death his family have lost a loving husband and father, his friends a neighbor and!
the community a law-abiding, Christian citizen. The bereaved family and friends have our heartfelt sympathies.
Wm. R. HARPER. - Benton County Democrat, November 26, 1891, Benton County, Arkansas"
