Anne: Thanks. Those were first names of the Paces I'm concerned with.
I know they sound like last names and I have tried to find family names
like that who might be affiliated with my Paces, but no luck. I know
there were these families but can't find a connection to my family of
Pace, just that they named their children this: Needham, Young, Wiseman,
Fletcher, Lively, Wakefield (8 times on this one). Sometimes these were
used as middle names too. I just don't know why. And I can't see a
pattern to it. In most cases it is clear it was not the maiden name of
the mother.
