Barbara,

You might want to stop in Kinston and spend some time at Heritage Place,
Lenoir Co Community College. It is the largest genealogical library east of
Raleigh. It is on hwy 58 south on the way to Trenton - right at Hwy 70 and
58. The Kellenburg room at the library in New Bern has a little local
genealogy but LCC is better. Also the Manuscript Division of Joyner
Library, East Carolina University in Greenville has an outstanding
collection as does the North Carolina Room on the floor below.
