Here is what Sharon Hedden says in her intro to the cemetery:

Survey of the Strain Cemetery,
Walnut Creek Road
Franklin (Macon County), NC

(From Franklin, this cemetery is located off Walnut Creek Road
approximately 2 miles past Ledford Branch Road on which Walnut Creek
Baptist Church is located. The road – marked "Strain Cemetery" with a
small, white, wooden sign – is gravel and on the left side of Walnut Creek
Road. I have listed the names found in alphabetical order. There are
numerous stone markers in this cemetery and I have tried to make out all
visible inscriptions, however, there are many that do not appear to have
inscriptions and are not listed.)


Perhaps she can chime in with more specific information since she is a
member of this list.
