Hi,
The church erected a marker with the info that I sent to you.
What are your relations in Nantahala. Two of my aunts married Mays.Harley
and Grady.
The current school that was established in 1952, I am almost certain did not
belong to Mays.
Prior to that there were about 5 schools in Nantahala area.Otter
Creek.,Aquone, Camp Branch,
and one near where the present school is located.Since the Mays lived on
Otter Creek I expect that is the one you mean.
I have a listing for the Brairtown Church graveyard which I will send to you
later. Will send later tonight or tomorrow night.
What do you mean"older graveyard to the left of the church"?? The older
graveyard is located about a mile from the church .The CURREBT graveyard is
still in use as people are still being buried there and they recently got
more land for it!
Seems we might combine and locate more of our ancestors.
At present I am stuck at my grandfather Jones as being born in 1860 and his
mothers name was Nancy.
I am related to the Owenbys and the fartherest back I have gone with them is
Porter who was my great grandmothers Father.
Please lets combine info! nj
