Hi Jo,
The 1820 census for Martin Co. was lost. Francis Manning, former editor of
the Williamston Enterprise, published an "improvised 1820 census" in one of
his special editions many years ago. I expect that the Manning Collection at
Martin Co. Community College would have a copy of that particular "Harvest
Edition" in its holdings.

Was there an 1820 census? I have been to two libraries which had
Martin County censuses, but neither had one for 1820. My GG
Grandparents, Israel and Millie Perry Robason should be in that
census, but I can't find it.
