Georgia Kelly Lewis, 82, of Old Fort, died Sunday, August 5, 2001 in Memorial Missions Hospital, Asheville, NC. Born in McDowell County to the late Euthera A. and Ada Gilland Kelly, she was retired from Ethan Allen Furniture and was a member of Enenezer United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bis Ray Lewis.
Survivors include three sons: Ray Lewis and his wife, Betty, and Jerry Lewis and his wife, Ila, all of Marion, and Wayne Lewis and his wife, Connie, of Old Fort; two daughters: Jeanette Raines and her husband, Bobby, and Bobbie Holley, all of Old Fort.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at Westmoreland Chapel. The Rev. Jack Bridges will officiate and burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Old Fort, NC. The family received friends from 6-8 Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Bldg. Fund 536 Ebenezer Church Road Old Fort, NC 28762. Westmoreland Funeral Home is assisting the family.
