Kenneth Benfield, 75, of Nebo, NC, died Saturday, July 8, at his residence. Born to the late Darty E. and Marie Warren Benfield, he was retired from Premier Hosiery. He was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy Thomas Benfield; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 11, at Westmoreland Chapel. The Rev. Gyles Widener officiated and burial was in the Abe Johnson Cemetery. The family received friends from 10-11 am prior to the service at Westmoreland Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Burke County. Westmoreland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
