Otis F. Rumfelt, 81, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, 2001 in Anchorage, Alaska. Otis was born Oct. 2, 1920 in Rutherfordton to the late Mark and Vina Rumfelt. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Jones, Jessie (Will), Talmage, Lenard, and Edward Rumfelt; and five sisters: Vena Patterson, Tomsie Free, Rhonda Radford, Pearl Willis and Mary Potts. Surviving is one brother, JL Rumfelt of Marion. Otis is also survived by his wife of 56 years, Sparky: son Tim: Vicki Rumfelt: grandson Jeffery: granddaughter Rhonda, and two greatgrandchildren. He was a 58 year resident of Alaska. He was very loving and supportive of his family members. He will be missed.
