Faron M. Collins, 46, of Marion, died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at his residence. Born January 31, 1955, in Yancey County, to Roy and Floy Bradley Collins, of Nebo, NC, he was a disabled rod buster, having formerly worked for Collins Reinforcing. He is preceded in death by his brother, Roy T. Collins, Jr.
Survivors, other than his parents, include four sons: Timothy Lewis, Brian Hollifield, Aaron Collins and Anthony Riddle, all of Marion; five brothers and their wives: Kenneth and Teresa Collins of Nebo, Roger and Connie Collins of Old Fort, Dee and Jennifer Collins of Nebo, Ricky and Linda Collins of Weaverville, and Billy and Teresa Collins of Nebo; four aunts and one uncle.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at Westmoreland Chapel. The Revs. Don Mitchell, Lemon Whitehead, and Bill Mitchell will officiate and burial will follow in the Bradley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Westmoreland Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
