Joseph Gary Bumgamer, age 49, of Marion, died on Thursday, March 16, 2000 at his residence. Born in Caldwell County to the late Hazel Eli Bumgamer and Louise Y. Bumgamer. He was formerly employed by Drexel Heritage Furniture. He was a member of Temple Hill Baptist Church in Granite Falls.
Survivors include, his mother listed above; a sister, Martha B. Effler of Marion; a brother, Ronnie O. Bumgamer of Lenoir; two special nieces, Destiny Morgan and Misty Lunsford. He was preceded in death by his father listed above and a sister, Sharon Bumgamer Anthony.
The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at Westmoreland Chapel. Rev. Clyde Bumgamer officiated.
