I have found out that Capt. Polk is one of my descendants. If anyone
has any information about him, I would love to hear all you have. We

Don't know abut the Galbraith in question, but do know that at least a
few of
the men in Captain Polk's company were recent transplants from areas
near here
(Orange County). John Stansill was from Wake/Johnston, and other names
(Purser, Orr) have a lot of local significance as well as ties to
Mecklenburg.
Anyone know more on this?...
