Is your James Polk in the same line as James Knox Polk who became president?

I have a Leonidas Polk that married Sarah Hawkins,dauh of Philemon Hawkins,
III. He would probably have been born abt 1775 or so-just a "guestimate". I
have some
info on Knox/Polk-not much but will share if you think there is a connection.
