Letty Sturgeon, daughter of John Sturgeon (died 1822), died in 1856 in
Mecklenburg.
Her will was witnessed by a Samuel A. Davis and James G. Flenniken. She
named as executor, Major Benjamin Morrow. Letty had previously inherited
property and stock, etc. from her father and from her sister Mary, who had
died in 1845, leaving everything to Letty. In her will, Letty Sturgeon, left
her property to her brother Robert Sturgeon, for life and upon his death, it
was to go to her niece, Dorcas Sturgeon and her descendants, but in the event
Dorcas left no descendants, Letty's estate reverted back to her son, Cyrus
Stanhope Sturgeon and his heirs.

Letty's son, Cyrus Stanhope Sturgeon married M. Sarah Kirkpatrick in 1853.
Dorcas Sturgeon married married James M. Dearmond 17 October 1853, according
to "Family Search".

I am also seeking information on a Henry Sturgeon who died 12 September 1826.
He was married to Mary Beatty, daughter of John Beatty of Mecklenburg. He
may be related to the Sturgeons above.

All events above occurred in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

So far, I have been unable to locate further information as to children, etc.
Is anyone on this list familiar with these names?
