Looking for info on Hattie Taylor, born around 1863 in Mecklenburg
County, NC. Was married to, or at the very least had one child with
Thomas Smiley Sloan, b. 1860 also in Mecklenburg County, NC. That child
was my g-grandfather, Latimer Alexander Sloan (b. April 29, 1883 in
Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, NC and d. March 24, 1950 in Roanoke,
VA). Not sure if they were actually married because I haven't been able
to locate any record of their union and in fact the only thing that says
anything about her is my mother's baby book. Whether or not they were
married, their union was over by 1900 as Thomas Smiley Sloan is listed
in the 1900 US Census for Mecklenburg County, NC as being married to a
Nettie Sloan, born in 1866. Any info would be appreciated.
