Hi my James Alexander and Daniel first name may have been William, because
he had a son named William Daniel, anyway their father's name was Roderick,
who may have been the son of Murdock. Does Roderick and Murdoch ring a
bell.

None of this meshes with what I have so far discovered about my McLeods.
Still researching. My lineage goes back through Robert Clinton McLeod,
George Washington McLeod, and Norman McLeod. Let me know if anything here

I am looking for information on the family of James Alexander & Daniel
MACLEOD. They were the sons of Roderick MACLEOD. James was born in 1821 in
Moore County NC. He died 14 Mar 1865 at Camp Douglas in Chicago Ill a member

of Co. D 57th Regt Ala Inf. His brother Daniel was also born in Moore County

NC in 1822, and was in the same command, but died in Alabama in 1898. I am

seeking to connect them with a Murdock MACLEOD.
