Bernie,
I'm working under the theory that you want to find Jacob's ancestors.
He is too late for the majority of my books so, since it
will be difficult to connect his parents and grandparents, I'm going
to tell you what CORBETTS were where and see if you can "plot" their
locations.

Jacob Corbett married Mary Ann Reynolds 12/24/1862
Jacob born 01/20/1828 Mary born 04/23/1847
Mary was young and it may have been the second marriage for Jacob.
Jacob died 07/31/1899. I have his will. It is in the will book in
Wilmington. Parents of Mary are Isaac Reynolds and Eunice Coleman. I
have his will. Mary was born 04/23/47 in Brunswick County and died
05/29/1913 in Wilmington. Jacob was a farmer and overseer. His son
Wesley was apparently at one time an overseer at Orton Plantation.
Some of our family graves were moved when Sunny Point was formed near
Southport. I have been to a cemetery called the New Drew and found
and infant Teresa Corbett but there are too many unmarked graves to
know if there are any more Corbetts there. This is the cemetery that
was moved from Sunny Point. Jacob lived on acreage that was called
Drewland. I havea lot of the lineage of Maude Griffith who married
Wesley. Thank you and let me know if you need anything else. Bernie
Corbett
