Hi lists,

I have just been notified that the Duplin County Historical Foundation is
working to get some volunteers together to reopen Dallas Herring's library.

This is an exerpt from an email I received from a nephew of Dallas Herring:
I am working on a AV presentation that hopefully will be completed by our
Clan Southerland Association meeting the second weekend of June at Rockfish
Meadows. I am sure many will be interested in this. I have also put together
a collection of Uncle Dals writings from his days at Davidson 34-36 that
will be on display in the library. I do wish that anyone interested in
continuing his legacy attend this years association meeting in his honor.

If you live in or near Duplin please try to attend this meeting. I think it
is a wonderful homage to a great man, and it will assure that his legacy and
library continue to operate for many generations to come.
