I am looking for information on the following family that I located on the
1880 census in Boykins, Southampton Co., VA. I believe the parents ended up in
Northampton Co., NC:

Taylor, James H. b. abt 1844 NC
Sarah b. abt 1850 NC
William H. b. about 1869 VA or NC

Martha (Lucy?) b. 1873 VA or NC (married Mordie H. Barnes????)*11/30/1899
SOUTHAMPTON CO., VA

B. Carter b. Oct 1879 VA or NC (married Hattie Pope) died 1947
Sallie b. 1875 VA?
Fannie b. 1876 VA?
Millan P. b. 1878 VA
Minnie L. b. 1878 VA

*I have been searching for years to locate more information on Martha or
Mordie. I actually have them as Lucy and Herbert; however, their marriage record
shows them as Martha Taylor, daughter of H & S Taylor, and Mordie H. Barnes,
son of Martha. From Hebert Barnes SSN application I learned his parents were
Jimmie Barnes and Martha Simmons.

I am DESPERATELY seeking any information that would lead me to the parents of
Martha (Lucy) or Mordie (Herbert).

ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE MOST GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

I am hoping that tracing this Taylor family might give me some leads that I
looked over in the past.
