The will of William Rea (dated 16 Oct 1769 and proved May 1774)
leaves to his wife Catherine "money that is now in Joseph Allison and
Patrick Rutherford's hands" and after the death of Catherine Joseph
Allison was to have a slave. Patrick Rutherford is a son-in-law of
William Rea but what is the connection between William Rea and Joseph
Allison, if any? My problem is the maiden name of Catherine Rea.
Thought she might be an Allison. Help, anyone? Mary Louise
