Dear List members:

I'm researching my Rhodes line and wanted to see if anyone could help
me on this one....I'm looking for info. on a William Rhodes (I believe
he was b. ca 1750 in Baltimore Co., MD.) who I believe migrated with
some other members of his family down to the Orange Co., NC area. I
found a will for a William Rhodes naming his wife as Mary and his
children as Hannah, Elizabeth and Alexander. The will was dated 6 Jan
1791 and proved Feb 1791. Would it be worth my while to write to Orange
Co., NC and request a copy of his will? I've looked for possible
guardianship papers listing the children in Mary's care but so far have
found nothing. How would I go about looking for estate settlement
papers?

I believe that the son Alexander is the Alexander Rhodes that my line
dead ends with and I've got to get through this brick wall....

If anyone has any more ideas of where I can look PLEASE get in touch
