'Bridges to the Past" ?



EVE PAINTER md. in 1812 to her first cousin,
JACOB DECK, Jr.

They came from the Shenandoah River , souteast of
Harrisburg. He appeared

for his Rev. War pension in Rutherford County,and
said that he was born in Augusta Co., Va.and lived there during the war. He was
an Indian spy. He was awarded a pension in 1834 in Rutherford....in German
script " J.Tak ".

haven't been able to locate any relatives of my ggggrandfather, Joseph
Deck.

Please help. Anyone?
