Surely, someone on this list has access to this 1768 Rowan Co, NC Tax list.
If you do, would you PLEASE look up any "RIGGS" families on the list. I am
especially interested in the Edward RIGGS family. Any help will be
appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge, this 1768 Tax List is not on the internet, nor I
ever seen it published in any of the abstracts I have used.
I found it in the November 1983 issue of the North Carolina Genealogy Society
Journal (NCSGJ). My local historical society has a set of NCSGJ back issues
from the 1980s. Considering the amount of information contained in this
list, I am a little surprised it hasn't gotten more exposure.
For anyone who wants to get a copy of the 1768 Tax List, I would suggest
either checking your local library to see if they have back issues of the NC
Genealogy Society Journal. Or, contact the NC Genealogy Society at P. O. Box
1492, Raleigh, NC 27602 (I think this address is current). The article is
about 20 pages long.
