I saw a post for info on Joshua McDaniel who moved to Cooper County,
Missouri around 1816. Several of my McClure relatives did the same thing
around the same time and then moved back to North Carolina. Was there
something going on at the time in North Carolina to cause this migration?
What was the particular attraction in Cooper County? Did many stay out
there or move back to NC?

My line of McClures is from Andrew Mcclure who married Mary Wilson in Old
Rowan County in 1769. We are still looking for information on Andrew prior
to his wedding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My other North Carolina lines are Ledford, McDowell, Hodgins and McCurry.
