Subject: [NCROOTS] James M. King mar. Catherine NC cir 1825/26

I don't have much information to tell. I'm grasping at straws. My 3rd great grandparents married in NC about 1825 or so. I'm not even sure of his first name, but his wife's name was Catherine. My 2nd great grandfather was born in NC in 1827 and one sibling was born there in 1830. After that the family moved to Alabama, but don't exactly where in AL. My first proof is in 1846 on a deed for Catherine King in Lauderdale Co., AL. I find my 3rd great grandmother, Catherine King in the 1850 Lauderdale Co., AL. census with her children, but no sign of a husband. There is a James M. King in the 1840 Lauderdale Co. census that closely matches Catherine's in 1850, but have no idea if this is her husband. I try to work with this James M. King name, but have found nothing to connect him with Catherine, yet.
I've already put a similar message about this family on the Alabama mailing list with no results. I thought I would try the NC mailing list, just in case.
Does anyone on this list have these names in their records?
Judy
