To any lawful officer in said county to execute & return accordingly to
Cause
Whereas Elsey SOLMON Single Woman hath complainth on oath to me Wm
DICKINS one of the Justices of the peace for said county--that she has been
delivered of a child within the last two years & that said child was born a
bastard and is liable to become a charge on said county & that Obediah
FULCHER of said county did beget said child & hath charged him unto the
same. This is therefore to command you to apprehend the said Obediah FULCHER
if to be found in said county and bring him before me or some other Justice
of the Peace for said county to answer the said charge.
Given under my hand this the 10th day of Octo 1 1854.

Obediah FULCHER is brought before me Wm R. READE Justice of the Peace of the
aforesaid county to answer the charge and is requised by me to enter into
recomisiel in the sum of Three hundred dollars with security in the like sum
that he make his personal appearance at our County Court to be held for the
County of Person at the Court house in Roxbury on the 3rd Monday in
December next and that I Shall Stand to and abide by Such. Preceeding may be
had by Said Court and that shall not Depart Said court without Leave of the
Said Obediah FULCHER & Burgess FULCHER acknowledged this Indenture to the
State of North Carolina in the sum of Three hundred dollars. Each to be void
on condition that Obediah FULCHER make his personal appearance at our next
County Court to be held for the Said county in Roxbury on the 3rd monday
December next and he Shall not Depart Said Court until Leave of that Same
Justice for cost of 40. Given under my hand and Seal. This 5th day of
November 1854

***my notes*** This bond is very hard to read, it had been folded many times
and the words seem to run together on the lines.
I have capitalized the surnames, other spellings and wording are the
original.
