Lois,

I think that you will need to have your friend send you the file in
un-compressed or "un-stuffed" jpg format. I don't think WinZip or other
similar Windows programs will "un-zip" a file compressed by a Mac using
"Stuffit". She should be able to use the File/Save-As command or whatever
it is called in the MAC world to save the image in a format you can open.

I've received a family picture in this format and do not know how to
view it. Before when just getting a JPG file I just click on it and the
picture comes up.
I have a IBM compatable computer,plenty of memory etc. This is the file
as it was sent. 19417.JPG+.sit In square box it says Type:
Macintosh Stufflt Archive (application/x-stuffit) Enciding:base64 I can
send her a JPG file and she has no problem with viewing it. She has a
Macintosh computer. These are family files and pictures. Hope someone
can help me. Thanks Lois
