Looking for info on the Gower family from Johnston Co. NC.
Abel Gower was born 17 Oct 1757. He enlisted in the rev. war
in Johnson Co. NC in 1789/90 where his family lived. Sometime
after enlistment his father died and Abel returned home. His
mother remarried and moved to Guilford Co and Able rejoined the
war. After the war he went to Richmond CO., Ga, then
Wilkes-Oglethorpe-Clarke and ended up in Gwinnett
Co by 1830. He died in 1841. Any info on his parents and family
would be appreciated. Thanks.
