Subject: [NCROOTS] "Our Kin" Book on Cline Genealogy

I am looking for a book entitled "our Kin" by Miles Laban Hoffman located
at the Gaston Co. NC Historical Society. I am a descendant of William
Madison Cline b. in VA abt. 1792 and was told this book had quite a bit of
Cline history. My grandfather was first married to Mary Cluck and then
Parmelia (Milly) Grayson b. 1-31-1812 in NC. I know nothing on Mary Cluck
other than she died abt. 1838 in Jefferson Co. TN. I have no record of any
children with William Madison and Mary. William Madison entered the War
of 1812 in Jefferson Co in 1814 and served in the Bunch regiment. He m.
Milly in Monroe Co. TN on 12-24-1839. We have been told he lived near
Madisonville. He moved his family to Madison Co. AR in the mid 1850's and
died 3-24-1858 there. Surnames that have a connection to him and his
children we know of are Wiggins, Cluck, Grayson, Rogers, Spradling, and
Whitely. It has been handed down William madison and three brothers left
TN together!
. One went to Southern MO. Two went to AR, one being William Madison.
The 4th went West and was never heard from again. There were three sisters
left to care for a plantation. I have never been able to find any record
pertaining to this story so I do not not how acurate this story has been
maintained as it has been passed down to each generation.
