North Carolina did not require birth registration in 1867. His exact birth
date might be found on his death certificate, an obituary, tombstone, family
Bible or other family record, church records, etc.

As for a marriage about 1891, there are a published books of Henderson
County marriage records from 1851 to 1915 and one by another author of 1851
to 1898. If you have access to a Family History Center, the original
marriage registers for that time period are also available.
