Hi All,
I am looking at a census that I have for Florida.
I was figuring if I got some information on the neighbors of my ancestors,
that maybe it would help me find out where in the Carolina's they came from.
Anyway, I have a McDonald family nextdoor.In the Angus McDonald family I have
a Duncan. It says that Duncan was a teamster.
Could anyone please tell me what this meant in 1870 ?
Is it the same as now?
