Sounds like your Alexander was of the next generation(perhaps?); assuming,
of course, that we are talking about the same immediate
family......Montgomery Co. isn't that far removed from Anson/Richmond.
Interesting.

Only my "gut feel" operating here, but I think that the Skye connection must
be the right one.....while I can't prove it yet, the MacDonalds living in
the vicinity of Mt. Creek in Anson/Richmond were also from Skye.

Guess all we can do is keep looking and hope for a breakthrough.
