Could someone help me, My Great Great Grandfather Neill/Neal Smith was born in Scotland in 1796 his family came to America (NC) (I believe Robeson County) in 1804. I do not know who his parents was. I do know that he was drafted into the Army in 1814 (The War of 1812) He wound up in South Carolina because his first son Neill Jr. was born there in 1825, after that he had two other sons born in NC (probably Anson or Robeson County) one in 1826 and one in 1828, he then showed up in Choctaw County Al where my Great Grandfather was born (Mountford Street Smith) I believe he would be listed with his family on a ships list. He married Mary (Polly) Pond (probably in SC) they lived after that in MS where they both died in the early 1870's. Robert
