The University of Richmond is pleased to recognize and nurture the
history of the Scottish Gaelic immigrants in North America by hosting
the conference *Highland Settlers* on November 6, 7 and 8, 2003. The
conference is timed to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the
publication of the book /Highland Settler: A Portrait of the Scottish
Gael in Cape Breton and Eastern Nova Scotia/ by Professor Charles Dunn
of the Harvard Celtic Department.
