I haven't checked with DAR, but others have. Two of the brothers (Peter and
Philip) were in the Revolution in units raised in the Fort Pitt area, and I
have their military records and pensions, but John was too young. Peter was
also an Indian Scout at the Battle of Point Pleasant during Lord Dunmore's
war (which some call the first battle of the Revolution) against the Indians
in 1774.

I have corresponded with Parchmanns in Germany as well as some professional
genealogists, who have found some few names in the 17th century in the
Mecklenburg area, but the name is rare and even the Parchmanns don't have
any records of their ancestors. As you say, we were just peasants in Europe
and poor farmers in America and no-one bothered keeping many records.

have found nothing.
