I too was a bit startled to see the "They Kept the Faith" article on
this list. As lay leader for my own church, I would be among the first to
support Christianity; HOWEVER, there is a time and place for everything.
Since the "Faith" article did not make specific genealogical mention of
surnames or to placenames or churches (such as it was a document from them),
then it becomes only a personal profession of faith from the person who
posted it. Let us be careful of impossing our own beliefs on others.
In view of my above comments, the "Faith" article should NEVER have been
posted to this list as it had NO genealogical information, only Christian.
Certainly I welcome religious information here if it is within a
genealogical context.
By this time I hope that the list manager has written to the author in
private reminding him/her of the dictates of this list.
