Subject: [NCWARREN-L] Sturdivant family in Warren County
Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 19:30:05 -0400
Hello:
I am seeking information about the Randolph Sturdivant family in Warren
County during the Revolutionary War. Randolph and his wife, Dicy Raney,
married in Mecklenburg Co., Virginia in 1776, and then moved to Warren
County. Five of their six children were born in Warren County: Randolph Jr.
ca 1777, Mary Susannah ca 1782, Rebecca ca 1785, Creacy ca 1785, James ca
1791 and John L. Sturdivant 15 November 1793 in Mecklenburg County,
Virginia. Although the last child, John, was born in Va., the rest of the
children were born in Warren County. The family lived there - in Warren -
until 1799 in the Moses District.
In particular, I am seeking any assistance with finding birth records
for the children and any other collateral information about the family. I'm
also searching for Randolph Sturdivant Sr's Revolutionary Militia Records.
Thanks for any information you can provide.
Sincerely,
Kaira Sturdivant Rouda
