Bebe,
I don't know Old from New. <g>

I have all the census CDs and starting with the tax list in 1786, Granville
Co., NC, Nutbush District, there are two Stephens and one Terisha and a
Charles in Dutch District.

In 1790, in Warren Co., NC census, Edward, James, John Stephen & Terisha.

In 1800, in Warren Co., NC census, James, James, Sr., Nathan, Susanna,
Terisha, & William.

I had already guessed that Susanna was the widow of Stephen, as Stephen is,
now, missing. Also, it gives the age ranges, and Susanna is the only Turner
who is over 45.

I think in The Reliques of the Rives as "old" Terisha Turner, thus Terisha
below would have been Jr.? If you find that you are from Terisha and Joanna
Rives, below, then you will be interested in Thomas Henry Rives from Va. to
Warren, then to Chatham Co., NC where he died. There is a large family
marker
for him in Chatham. I am from his son, Edwards Rives, by Thomas's 2nd
marriage...to Mary Edwards.
