I am sad to pass along that Debra Buchanan Roach passed away March 31,
2006, after a long illness. Some of you who research in Mitchell/Yancey
Cos--especially Byrds and Buchanans--may have corresponded with Debra in
the past. She loved family history and the NC mountains of the Toe
River Valley. She was cremated and had her ashes spread over Bean's
Creek in Mitchell Co, NC.

Her cousin Sandra Kidd
we are descendants of Joseph Buchanan who married Sarah Jones through
their son James, grandson Joseph, and great-grandson Abram Johnson Buchanan
