Dear Cemetery listers,
We have learned that our George PROVOST/PREVOST born about 1878 in Dakota Territory and living in Pembina in 1880 census with parents Joseph and Ann Provost.
Joseph and Ann moved by 1885 to Minnesota, but George stayed behind and is listed in his father's obit in 1931 as still living in "North Dakota."
This has proven to be a great mystery as we cannot find George in the 1920 or 1930 census records, or even as early as 1900, which tells us that by the age of 21 he was off on his own.
Might you have any suggestions of North Dakota Records to check to locate where he died in North Dakota after 1931?
