Hi Pete,

I am interested in all of your ideas! Fortunately I am within driving
distance of a major central library with a huge genealogy department, so I
have access to the census information. Next time I go I am going to try and
look in MN for the Pedersen and Hoitomt Families. I have ordered the
newspaper on microfilm for LaMoure County from 1917 to 1920. I understand my
Grandparents (Louis Otto Manns and Helen A. Pedersen Manns) wedding was
recorded in the paper and at least their firstborn child. If you have
anything you would like me to keep an eye out for, let me know.
Where in LaMoure did your family live? In the 1920 census my Grandparents
were living in Grand View Township and they had one child. Eventually they
had nine children. By 1920 my Great Grandparents (Carl and Caroline
Pedersen) did not live in ND. I think Grandpa Pedersen died earlier than
that, and Grandma Pedersen may have moved back to MN. Grand View Township is
where my Grandma Helen was born.
