Dear Denise,

You are so nice to have written! That would be lovely if you could ask your aunt about the Triepke families. It has been very hard to research my great-grandmother's family, so this is very interesting to me.

I have been trying to piece together the Triepke families, and think that Harry (wife Esther Kalmbach) is the son of Paul, who is the son of Emma Jeschke Triepke and Albert Triepke. I would love to know more about him and his parents and grandparents, so that is wonderful that you sent them my letter. Paul had a farm in Bluebird Township, a couple sections away from his father.

I also found out that Siegfried Triepke was known as "Fred", and he and his wife Pearl moved out to California at some point.

Another bit - I noticed that you have the name PFAFF on your list of surnames. I think that Paul's wife Friederike's last name was Pfaff. Does that make sense?

Do you know if any of the old farms are left in the area? I would love to see a photo of one of the old farms. Someday if you run across one, that would be so nice.

Take care,
Sincerely,
Katherine
