Hi Folks:

I am starting to get bounced mail because folks subscribe to a lot of
mailing lists and then go on vacation.

Your ISP only allows you to keep about 1 MegaByte of messages on their
server. Once you have filled that quota, all mail sent to you will bounce.
This list will automatically unsubscribe you when mail to you bounces 6
times in a row.

If you get a lot of mail each day and are planning on an extended vacation,
I would suggest you unsub from your lists while you are gone and then sub
when you get back. If you can download your mail a couple of times while
you are gone, there is no need to unsub. You can often find cyber cafes or
a Kinko's which will rent you internet access.

To unsub, send a message to

in the body of the message put the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes).
If you are receiving this in digest mode, the address is

To re-sub when you get back, send a message to the same address as above,
but put "subscribe" in the body of the message.

You will need to do this for every list you belong to -- or at least the
ones you get a lot of mail from. ndsdmn-l by itself does not generate the
large volume of mail that would cause bounces. If this is the only list you
are subbed to, you can safely be gone a month and not generate a bounce.
