This Scalf family, James & Sophrona J. Scalf appear in the Gage, NE census in 1910, 1920 & 1930. They appear to be living in Knox County, IL in 1900. At one time a friend told me the names of James' parents, but I have misplaced the information. In 1900, the children were Leona M. and Lloyd. In 1910, the children are Myra L., Lloyd, and Lawrence. I think he is a decendent of Benjamin Scalf, SR. from ILL, but I am not sure. The four census reports are all I have on this family.
