Gretchen,
How good to hear from you. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I am
descended from Vojtech Bednar's daughter Frances who was born 1875. I am in
contact with Valeria Thayer who is descended from Vojtech Bednar's son
Emanuel (Lyman) Bednar b. 1878. Do you know her?
Our Vojtech (b. 1837) had 5 brothers. Two of them were named Prokop (b.
1839) and Martin (b.1846). Are these the same 3 brothers that you speak of?
The other 3 brothers that we have are:
Tomas b. 1831
Frantisek b. 1833
Jacob b. 1837
We have Vojtech (b. bef 1812) and Marie Jilek (b. bef 1820) as the parents
of these 6 Bednar brothers.
I have a birthplace for all 6 brothers as Pistina, Bohemia. But I have not
documented this or found time to research it much. Could this be the same
place as Jindrichuo Hradec or close by?
Does this sound like it fits with your 3 Bednars?
Linda Marek Bailey
