Tim,
As I said, I'm not sure which of the 7 Neal/Neel, etc. families in the
late 1700's in Western Pa. is mine. As to the Adam Neal who married
Jeanette Anderson: He was b. 1835, Scotland; d. 1795 Canonsburg,
Washington Co., Pa. His children that I have are: John; William; James;
Mary; Nancy; Martha; Jeanette; Anne; and Rachel.

It is also possible but not proven that Adam m. 2nd: to Molly (Mary)
Snodgrass.

At this point it is unproven that the above Adam Neel is the following
Adam Neel. I have not connected an Owen Neel with this family.

John Neel of Lancaster Co., Pa. wrote a will. He lived in Martick Twp.,
Lancaster Co., Pa. at the time he wrote his will.

Book F. vol 1, p. 1393
Written: Nov. 10, 1783
Proven: May 3, 1792 and Oct. 31, 1792
Executors named: Thomas Neal and John Neel
Executors served: Thomas served. John declined or renounced
Wit: Ann Michel (or Mitchel) and William McAntier
son, James to receive 70 pounds
son, John to receive 50 pounds
son Joseph to receive 40 pounds
son -Thomas to receive 30 pounds
dau. Dorcus to receive 60 pounds
Granddau. - ADAM'S minor dau. to receive 20 pounds
Grandsons: John and William - sons of Adam - 10 pounds each
Grandson: William's minor son named ADAM a/k/a William - 10 pounds

Notes: James went to Allegheny Co., Pa. (No Owen in his children)
John went to Allegheny Co., Pa. (No Woen in his children)
Joseph - no records found (Owen could be his son)
Thomas - stayed in Lancaster Co., Pa.
Dorcus - m. Ephraim Hughey and went to Allegheny Co., Pa.
Sons: Adam and William not mentioned
Wife - Dorcas not mentioned. She died 1765, Lancaster Co., Pa.
Thomas b. 1744: Will lists no Owen or Adam as sons.

A James Gaw (d. 1798) is related somehow.

A Matthew Neal is related somehow as per James Gaw's will

An Adam Neel b. 1790, Ireland in 1850 in Upper St. Clair, Allegheny Co,
Pa. is interesting but not necessarilarilly b. in Ireland.

I question your relationship between your Adam Neel and the above. Will
look forward to your documentation.

Clare and Avis,

All of the persons named in your emails are related to our Adam Neel. I
am
hard at working on a paper now that will explain it. In the mean time
please
be patient.

Thanks
