To anyone that knows, please help.

Story has reached us that the Nebraska School for the Deaf is closing.
Can you confirm?

It is about 140 years old, and has served a large number of people.
Website found seems to have been left sitting since uploaded in 1996. It
has a history of the school that we'd like to have permission to copy for
NEGenWeb.

See: <http://nde4.nde.state.ne.us/IPS/NSD/HISTRY.html>;

Email to webmaster at NE Dept of Educ has no response as yet.

Lists of the staff & alumni would be of use to genealogists. Anyone know
if they are available & where? If you see anything in the newspapers
(Omaha area or elsewhere), please clip. Will gladly provide mailing
address and pay postage.

The young woman teaching sign language on

<http://www.unl.edu/DailyNeb.arch/zzzzz/3-96/3-29-96/>;

is graduate of the NSD, and daughter of friends.

Thanks,

Ted & Carole Miller
