Dear Listers,

A problem has arisen with the last post I made concerning the updating of my
webpage. I usually answer each one individually offlist, but in this case,
it is disturbing me enough that I will reply here.

Someone has brought it to my attention that I "am using the list for
personal gain" by the presence of the Amazon Books page on my website. THIS
IN NO WAY WAS MY INTENTION!! My intention was to post some of my
genealogical information on my website and give others the opportunity to
comment on it and possibly even use it to supplement their own information
(which everyone is free to do, I might add). It did not even occur to me
that I was "using the list" in an unprofessional manner.

Would I like it if you used my links? Yes I would, but that's not the
reason that I put them there. I would like everyone on all of the lists to
know that if you decide to use the link on my page, I will make some money
(only if you buy something). If you see a book that you like at my website
that you would like to buy, and you do not agree with this position, go to:

http://www.amazon.com

and buy it.

It was not my intention to mislead you, and the fact that I might have
disturbs me enough that I am considering removing the page from my site. If
you show up there and it's gone, that is what happened. And again, I am
sorry. I should have not mentioned that page of the website on my post.
