The person tha was looking for Sweet family in Dawes County please
contact me. I lost the list of names that you were looking for in
Whitney. This is what I have found so far. Elizabeth Sweet died age 79
buried Aug 8th 1926. Beside her is Henry T died age 79 buried Nov 9
1912. Betsey A. Sweet died age 58 buried 1895. Lucy Sweet died age 72
buried 1889. Beside her is J.T. Sweet age 81 died 1891. All were
buried in Block 5 lot 6 Numbers 2-6. I can get someone to take pictures
of the head stones if you like. Not sure what shape they are in.
Whitney does have a cemetery. It was established in 1904 or 06. The
cemetery was moved all but the military people. Not sure where they
were moved to. If you send me a list of the people you are looking for
I will have someone check it out. There is also a Catholic Cemetery in
Chadron. Records are kept by St Patricks Catholic Church. Phone (308)
